Babcock Ranch is an approximately 17,000-acre planned community that was approved as part of a public-private partnership with the State of Florida and Local Governments.

Kitson’s goal is for Babcock Ranch to be the “world’s most sustainable city.”

12 hours of Sebring

I shoot for a ton of college and university alumni publications. Because I live in Southwest Florida, that usually means I photograph older alums who have donated large chunks of money. Fortunately Babson College had something different in mind.

Every year the sleepy town of Sebring Florida plays host to America’s oldest and most prestigious sports car endurance race, The 12 hours of Sebring. This year, three Babson alums would be competing against each other.

Bob Wasno at FGCU’s Vester Field Station

Florida Gulf Coast University commissioned me to photograph Bob Wasno, a resource coordinator for their Vester Marine and Environmental Science Research Field Station.  It was the middle of December and although Southwest Florida is warmer than most places, its can still get pretty darn cold.  Bob was a great sport and braved the cool waters near Bonita Beach for the shot.
